Rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars hit The Late Show With Stephen Colbert stage Thursday night (Jan. 26) for the TV world premiere of their newest single “Dangerous Night” with a performance captured by what the Late Show describes as “the most advanced robotic camera in the universe.”
Closing an episode that featured actors Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben McKenzie, Thirty Seconds to Mars reminded the crowd and viewers at home why they have remained relevant and rocking after nearly 20 years together.
Slowly panning across the bottom of the stage while the intro of the song played, the innovative camera then paned up to reveal lead vocalist Jared Leto singing. The camera paned to the beat of the music to then show other band members Shannon Leto and Tomo Miličević before switching once more to show different interpretive dancers swaying along to the beat.
The performance was certainly one-of-a-kind. To see it in full, watch below.
