Stone Temple Pilots are off to a hot start since enlisting new singer, Jeff Gutt. With Gutt at the microphone, the band is ready to release their new studio album, which will be released on May 25th.
“We are thrilled about what lies ahead. The best way for us to honor our past is to keep making new music,” said guitarist Dean DeLeo.
Gearing up for their new album release, Stone Temple Pilots have released a new track off the album, entitled “The Art Of Letting Go,” which showcases Gutt’s heavy set vocals that the band feels is a great compliment to what original singer Scott Weiland had left behind.
“You have to be confident . . . I know what I’m doing. I’ve studied my craft. I’ve studied Scott [Weiland] and the people Scott studied, and other singers of the era. I’ve really put in a lot of time into that, and if you’re not willing to do all of that, you’re not gonna be on the level to even be around these guys.”
