Since the start of Metallica’s “WorldWired” Tour, the band has reached unprecedented new heights. With a line of outrageously big and powerful arena shows, Metallica is proving that they still got what it takes to not only put on a great show, but to do it in a very big way.
Metallica’s recent stop in the U.K. proved to be quite a good one to say the least, as many of the industries publications including Kerrang!, Metro, and The Times have said nothing but positive things on the bands achievements to bring in a large crowd to their concerts.
While in the U.K., Metallica opened things off at the renowned O2 Arena in London, pulling in a crowd of 22,134, only to break their own record the following night with a crowd of 22,211. It wouldn’t stop there, as Metallica continued to bring in the goods, breaking the attendance record in Birmingham with an attendance of 15,604.
“This has been an incredible achievement by Metallica. The band and everyone around them have been a pleasure to work with and they staged one of the greatest indoor shows I have ever seen,” said Andy Copping, executive president of U.K. touring for Live Nation.
