Metallica Challenges Radio Host To Lose Weight

Metallica is a band that is all about the people, both musically and personally. The band has received word that a #MetallicaDiet challenge has been accepted by an Idaho radio personality, Big J of 100.3 FM The X, in Boise, ID.

Big J currently weighs over 400 pounds, and is determined to lose the weight. Metallica has granted Big J, whose real name is Jeremi Schlader, an in-person interview with all four members if he can lose 100 pounds by the time the band performs at the Taco Bell Arena on November 28th.

“See, I need to lose a crap ton of weight, so I thought I would ask Metallica for some incentive,” said Big J.

Big J was diagnosed with a binge-eating disorder. The condition was compared to that of an alcoholic’s relationship with drinking. “Imagine being an alcoholic in recovery, but to stay alive you have to have a drink every day,” he said. “Every meal’s a challenge, and it’s exhausting.”

Wish you the best of luck, Big J!
