With a release of a new studio album “Rebel” just a week ago Lynch Mob fronted by Oni Logan and the guitar legend Gorge Lynch are out on the road and made a tour stop Saturday August 20 at the Buffalo Rose in Golden, Colorado. After some local bands warmed up the crowd the band ripped through a set of songs including “She’s Evil But She’s Mine”, “All I Want”, “Hell Child” and the crowd favorite “River of Love” from their 1990 album ‘Wicked Sensation’. Oni’s voice sounded very strong and of coarse the guitar playing from Lynch was phenomenal. The highlight of the show came when Lynch broke into the instrumental classic “Mr. Scary” from Dokken’s ‘Back for the Attack’ album. The crowd went crazy and cheered as the guitar god blazed through note for note.. This was not the only old Dokken song to get played as towards the end of the set they broke into more classics including “Into the Fire”, “The Hunter”, and “Tooth and Nail”. The only disappointment for me was they did not play one song from their new album. I was surprised as there had been a couple videos made for singles and nothing was included in the set. It did not damper the night but it left me a little unhappy as the night ended. You might be wishing for that Dokken reunion but for now you get a incredibly talented band playing great songs to loving fans.
