Kid Rock Donates $50K To Food Banks

The holidays may be over, but it’s never too late to keep giving to those in need. Rock singer Kid Rock is keeping this spirit alive and well, starting off 2018 on a high note by donating a total of $50,000 to two food banks, one in Michigan, and the other in Tennessee.

Courtesy of Kid Rock’s foundation, the two $25,000 donations will head to the Second Harvest Food Banks of Western Michigan and Middle Tennessee. Kid Rock made his generosity known on Twitter, posting envelopes that contain the two checks, ready to be shipped off to their respected food bank.

“I also wanted to start 2018 off on a positive note, hoping to influence others who have been as blessed as me, by donating 50k to The Second Harvest Food Banks of West Michigan and Middle Tennessee (25k each – the checks will go out today),” said Rock, adding, “I think it is important to help others out, especially this time of year when it is cold and the holidays can be such a strain on some who are really struggling to try to make ends meet. Please do what you can to help. They have other locations all across America.”

“Headed back home to Michigan to rehearse and get ready for the tour. Stay warm if you’re also in this frigid, butt clenching cold! God Bless,” added Rock.
