Judas Priest: Colorado

Veteran metal gods Judas Priest brought an earth shattering show to the 1stBank Center Wednesday night along with Glam metal Joksters, Steel Panther. The band, vocalist Rob Halford, guitarists Glen Tipton and Richie Faulkner, bassist Ian Hill and drummer Scott Travis, performed a setlist that hit something from almost every era of their extensive discography, celebrating both their new LP “Redeemer of Souls” as well as their 40-year history. Both Faulkner and Tipton were given time to shine during the “heavy metal ballad” “Beyond the Realms of Death” (from the band’s classic 1978 LP “Stained Class”), which crescendoed into a twin guitar metal meltdown. Following the iconic “Breaking the Law,” Halford, as always, rolled out on a Harley for “Hell Bent for Leather” to close out the first set.
