Gary Clark Jr. Announces New Album; Releases Powerful New Video/Song For “This Land”

Gary Clark Jr. has announced a release of his new album This Land due out March 1 via Warner Bros. Records.

The Austin blues-rock artist has also released a video for the album’s title track. The clip was directed by Savanah Leaf and filmed around Clark’s home in Texas. It features a young boy surrounded and struggling with symbols of racism in America.

“I basically just told [Leaf] where I came from and she made a beautiful short film out of it,” Clark told Rolling Stone. “Shout out to her, much love. I hope the video and the song together accomplish acceptance and moving forward — feed the babies, teach the babies to love.”
