Chris Cornell’s Family Launches Social Campaign For Human Rights

The memory of Chris Cornell is continuing to be alive and well. Today, Cornell is featured in a new video that was released, in an effort to raise awareness for human rights. The effort is being made by Chris Cornell’s family, who has done a lot of good since his death to create some good in this world.

The video was released in conjunction with Cornell’s Grammy-nominated song “The Promise,” which also showcase Cornell’s children, as they make a vow to continue to fly the flag that their father once did to stand up for human rights.

In light of the cause, many celebrities have come forward to pay their respects and show their support as well, including the likes of Tom Hanks, Elton John, George Clooney, and many more.

During his time on earth, Cornell had recorded music for the film of the same name as this song, which is the first feature film to highlight the history and significance of the Armenian genocide. From his efforts in recording the song, Cornell had donated the money he had made from it to the International Rescue Committee.

In the spirit of continuing to give, the Cornell household made headlines when wife Vicky Cornell had created an endowment fund with $1 million dollars to help students in need of aid at the UCLA School of Law. The scholarship in Chris Cornell’s name is dedicated to the commitment to to justice, human rights and advocacy for those in need, which is at the helm of individuals within Cornell’s inner circle, as well as supports of the law school.
