The 5th annual Acoustic-4-A-Cure benefit concert was certainly a special one, as supergroup Chickenfoot reunited once again, after what many would consider to be a long layoff apart from each other.
Performing at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA earlier this week, Chickenfoot performed after a short set from frontman Sammy Hagar. The band performed a line of songs from their catalog, including, “Oh Yeah,” “Sexy Little Thing” and “Something’s Going Wrong.”
With Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony, and Chad Smith at the helm together again, you simply can’t go wrong. The evening was also REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin, Eddie Money, Vic Johnson and folk/blues legend Taj Mahal, who had celebrated his 75th birthday that evening.
The event was started by Hagar, and fellow Bay Area resident James Hetfield, raising money for the Pediatric Cancer Program at Oakland’s UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
