As time goes on, and musicians get older, there comes a point where the artist may leave the art, but the art will never leave the artist. Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward is continuing his journey as a artist, but more so in the traditional sense of the word.
Ward is set to release a limited edition book of his artwork that he had worked to develop for over a year with publisher SceneFour. The book will contain a plethora of work straight from the man himself. The book will contain art from his very own collection, entitled “Absence Of Corners.”
Fans can look to purchase the book on Bill Ward’s website here. For any Black Sabbath fans, Bill Ward fans, drummers, artists, and everyone in between, this book is sure to be a hit with the crowds, and sure to be a quick sell.
“When I’m working on new ideas, musically much of what’s played is guided by a visual appearance or shape. Since my early childhood, I’ve played drums in visuals as well as sound. When I write, there’s always an image, sometimes a color attached to what’s being created… I am delighted with the captured expressions — from my head and my heart. Their arrival onto canvas is beautiful,” said Ward.
