Metallica Announce Remastered ‘Garage Days’ Ep

Metallica are set to release a freshly upgraded version of The $5.98 EP – Garage Days Re-Revisited that’s arriving just in time for Record Store Day.

Originally released in August 1987, the Garage Days EP bridged the gap between Master of Puppets and … And Justice for All with an abbreviated homage to the band members’ influences, collecting covers of songs by Diamond Head (“Helpless”), Holocaust (“The Small Hours”), Killing Joke (“The Wait”), Budgie (“Crash Course in Brain Surgery”) and the Misfits (“Last Caress”/”Green Hell”). Although it was a Top 30 success on the charts, it was intended to be something of a collector’s item, and has been out of print since 1989.

The $5.98 EP – Garage Days Re-Revisited is scheduled for an April 13 release, but fans can pre-order their copies now (for more than $5.98, natch) through the Metallica store.
